Sun Chemicals sells “prime” site in Orpington for more than £8m

SUN Chemical has sold its site in Orpington to Goya Developments for more than £8m.

The six-acre (2.42 hectare) site, located on the corner of Cray Avenue and Cray Valley Road, will be handed over to Goya following demolition and site clearance.

The purchaser is said to be considering “all redevelopment options” including a mixed-use scheme of up to 160,000 sq ft (14,864 sq m), which could include car showrooms, industrial, trade counter and other uses.

Mark Holliday of Avison Young, which advised Sun Chemical, said: “This is a prime redevelopment site for which we had a lot of interest. The price achieved reflects the potential of the site for commercial use.”
