Bromley Common burst water pipe: residents’ meeting to begin at 1pm, while A21 remains closed

By Luke King in Utilities

THAMES Water is to hold a residents meeting this afternoon, following a burst water pipe on Bromley Common on Friday afternoon.

Some households in the BR1, BR2, BR4, BR5, BR7 postcodes are still without water, though the company says most customers are back in supply.

Thames Water said: “Repairs to the damaged pipe have gone well overnight. The broken section of pipe has been cut and we’re hoping to complete the repair today.

“However, the A21 Bromley Common remains closed in both directions between Southlands Road and Homesdale Road for us to safely carry out this work. We will have more details on when the road will reopen as the repair progresses.”

Thames Water customer teams are in the area and a meeting for affected residents takes place at 1pm at St Luke’s Hall, Raglan Road, Bromley.
